Fireball Dry Film Lubricants

ImageOur Dry-Film Lubricant is a moly-based lubricant capable of providing lubrication at levels as high as 350,000 psi. The lubrication aids in preventing scuffing and galling, increasing part life. It also reduces friction, freeing more useable power.

Dry-Film Coating is actually impregnated into the metal surface so no dimensional changes are realized. In addition to lubrication, Dry Film Lubricants also help distribute heat so less metal fatigue is caused reducing the chance of part failure.

Our dry film lubricants are extremely thin 0.0005 thick that is a permanently bonded lubricant for application on any friction bearing part. Typical uses include piston skirts, wrist pins, crank journals, cam lobes and bearings, and gears. On snowmobiles dry film on the cam helix, gears and drive chains will benefit as well.

Significant horsepower gains have been proven with these coatings. For example one customers drag bike was consistently running 8.22@ 158 mph in the 1/4 mile with uncoated pistons. After coating his pistons his best time was 7.58@ 168 mph in the 1/4 mile. Not bad for an $100.00 investment!

Fireball Moly Coating Applications:

Pistons, valves, bearings, gears, camshafts, springs, hinges, slides, clutches, helixes and any other application where there is metal to metal contact.
